description
A figurative reminiscence of Russian ballet art - the sculpture of Estrella, an exclusive hand-painted figure, a work of art by the artist Paul Scheurich from 1913. At that time, the guest performance "Le Carneval" based on Robert Schuhmann's piano cycle was extremely popular at the Berlin Theatre and demanded artistic immortalization in the spirit of cultural heritage. The sculpture's beautifully designed skirt is impressively presented with detailed floral decorations, while the figure's head is covered by a matching hat - delicately hand-painted. This work of art magnificently captures the moment of feigned fright, of coquettishly stalling hesitation. The five Russian dancers that Scheurich portrayed for the artwork ensemble "Russian Ballet" were his first and most successful works for the Meissen porcelain manufactory. This sculpture is part of a limited edition and will be sculpted, embossed and hand-painted exclusively for you if you are interested. A figure that represents an unsurpassed highlight of modern porcelain art in the footsteps of Romanticism.
