Monkey Musician Bass Fiddler

The 11 cm high figure "Monkey musician with bass violin" is part of a new interpretation of the historical "Monkey Chapel" by Kaendler, the legendary master of Meissen arts and crafts. These hand-painted collectible figures were created by former MEISSEN chief sculptor Peter Strang in 2016, the creator of Meissen modernism in the field of porcelain sculpture. For his monkeys, Strang has developed a completely new style of work: he does without model forms and builds each figure completely freely. They are only hand-painted with blue, red and yellow, which ensures a coherent overall image of the orchestra.
