The "Lidded Vase Naturalistic Flower and Fruit Painting" from ca. 1725 shows an intoxicating firework of colors and shades and a refined, cheerful seduction of the senses: roses, buds, berries and grapes, plump peaches - all wrapped in morning dew, fine lights and reflections. The sweet scent of fruit, the soft crackle of twigs and the buzz of insects come to life on the lidded vase. At the same time, this new hand-painted composition is entirely in the tradition of classic MEISSEN® flower and fruit painting.
