Limited Masterworks Centaur with Seashell

The large MEISSEN^® mold archive is like an imposing encyclopedia of over 300 years of European art and cultural history: the molds are stored here for around 25,000 different items from a wide range of epochs and styles, including sculptures and figurines. This enables the manufactory to reproduce almost any work of art true to the model even today. Like this sculpture from 1865, an excellent example of the historicism prevalent in the manufactory at the time. Typical of this style, it combines on the figure symbols of Greek mythology such as the centaur, the hybrid creature of man and horse, allegorical representations such as the small putto with a sword and a shell-shaped bowl.
