The Amazon rainforest is a paradise for countless animal and plant species that is under threat as never before due to deforestation, forest fires and climate change. Under the motto "Make the world a better place", the Meissen porcelain painters covered a vase by the artist Zhuoyu Hou with the fascinating flora and fauna of the dense, tropical rainforest in intense colors using various, very elaborate painting techniques. The size of the vase presents the Meissen porcelain manufactory with a challenge in terms of craftsmanship. The intense colors and naturalistic painting style lend the vase vibrancy and radiance. Two large toucans dominate the scene against a spectacular evening sky in various shades of purple and lilac, framed by lush palm trees and other exotic rainforest plants.

With this mammoth work, the MEISSEN porcelain manufactory wants to set an artistic example for the preservation of this unique animal world.
