The MEISSEN-Pug "Santa" is part of the long tradition of the interpretation of pugs in porcelain. Johann Joachim Kaendler created pug figurines for August the Strong. The original shape of the pug "Santa" dates back to the 18th century. Bred for the emperor of China over 2000 years ago, the pug gained more and more popularity when it came to Europe in the 16th century. With fine brushstrokes, Meissen's porcelain painters give the Mops "Santa" its detailed decoration. Thanks to this, the special charm of the cheerful breed comes to light. With the red coat and the red hat, the special edition "Santa" fits perfectly into the Christmas season and is a charming gift.
