The figurine "Leopard" made of velvety-earthy Böttger stoneware joins the lively and varied figurine world of MEISSEN®. It shows a diversity that is unparalleled anywhere in the world. After nerve-racking series of experiments, the alchemist Johann Friedrich Böttger succeeded in 1707 in producing the so-called "jasper porcelain", which in the sculpture "Leopard" convinces with matt elegance and perfection. Clear lines and fine detail give the Böttger stoneware figure liveliness and dynamism. Almost relaxed, the sculpture of the feline predator seems at rest in itself.
