description
A figurative reminiscence of Russian ballet art - the sculpture of the Bajazzo, a hand-painted exclusive figure, a work of art by the artist Paul Scheurich from 1913. At that time, the guest performance "Le Carneval" based on Robert Schuhmann's piano cycle enjoyed great popularity in the Berlin theater and demanded artistic immortalization in the spirit of cultural heritage. The black accents of the sculpture stand in clear contrast to the leotard, which is hand-painted with colorful and white checks. What is striking about this work of art is the figure's longing pose, which is particularly recognizable in the head tilted to one side. The five Russian dancers that Scheurich portrayed for the artwork ensemble "Russian Ballet" were his first and most successful works for the Meissen porcelain manufactory. This sculpture is part of a limited edition and will be sculpted, embossed and hand-painted exclusively for you if you are interested. A figure that represents an unsurpassed highlight of modern porcelain art in the footsteps of Romanticism.
