description
A delicate dessert bowl made from the finest Meissen porcelain - and part of a breathtaking dinner service in the Baroque style. The "Swan Service" was created from 1737 onwards by the Meissen master modeler Johann Joachim Kaendler and today comprises over 2,200 pieces of tableware of traditional master craftsmanship. The splendor and opulence of the Baroque period are transported into our own time by the numerous pieces of the dinner service, which can be wonderfully combined with one another. However, this dessert bowl also shines on its own and enchants any setting with its traditional, high-quality relief design. The motif of a pair of swans gliding through reeds and undulating waves gives the tableware from the famous Kaendler dinner service its name. The romantic theme of the plate was embedded in the delicate shape of a sea shell, which forms the maritime frame of the dessert bowl. The Meissen manufactory's love of detail and commitment to perfection is guaranteed in every piece of tableware bearing the traditional blue swords mark.
