description
This serving platter of the "B-Form" dinner service was developed by Ernst August Leuteritz between 1844 and 1855 and enchants with its magnificent, hand-painted decoration "Gestreute Röschen" in the most beautiful Meissen craftsmanship. In addition to this serving platter, the delicate decoration also adorns every other piece of tableware in the opulent dinner service, and is shown here hand-painted in a colorful rendition. It is complemented by applications in gold bronze. Presented at the Paris World's Fair in 1867, the "B-Form" dinner service quickly became one of Meissen's biggest sellers. In addition to the classic gold version, Leuteritz's successors created the same dinnerware in bright platinum for his 200th birthday. Thus, both versions combine historical with contemporary style. Hand-painted in radiant colors, the florets lend the serving platter a delicacy that is framed by the opulent, gleaming frame. The fine white of the porcelain is hand-painted and embellished in the most beautiful Meissen craftsmanship on each dinnerware. This serving platter from the "B-Form" dinner service cites in its design previous eras and their artistic ideas in the most beautiful craftsmanship. Different from the ostentatious representation is the naming of the tableware collection: the "B" stands for the code letter of the original archive form number.
