With this masterpiece Meissen returns to its beginnings. This vase is a work of art from the hands of Gottlieb Kirchner, who together with Johann Joachim Kaendler is considered the creator of European porcelain sculpture. The decoration and especially the exuberance of the plastic coverings on the vase also bear the clear signature of the early years and testify to the closeness of porcelain design and silversmithing in that period.
