Limited Masterworks 2016 Can Snowball Blossoms in Relief

The "Box snowball blossom relief", limited, goes back to Johann Joachim Kaendler 's excellent craftsmanship. He created the famous snowball blossom decoration in 1739 for a service given by King August III to his wife Maria Josepha. Countless sculptural white blossoms cover each piece and bear witness to incomparable craftsmanship. The shape, relief and colorful staffage of the snowball blossoms, discreetly hand-painted, combine to create a fascinating naturalness. Partly the small, white calyxes on the tin merge with the form, partly they overlap irregularly. With delicate brushstrokes, hand-painted, it has been possible to further emphasize the plastic naturalness. Limited to 75 pieces.
