Limited Edition Vase Crane

Antique Japanese screens and murals are the inspiration for this majestic crane decor on this limited edition artwork, which was realized for the "Limited Edition 2019" on a group of classic lidded vases from 1869 and 1730 and a wall bowl from 1890. Created in several steps hand-painted, the decor places the highest demands on porcelain painting: after detailed pen drawing in a sepia tone, the black tail feathers and gray shading in the wings are painted. After the first decor firing, the delicate gold and platinum painting follows, which receives its radiance in a further firing.
