description
A figurative reminiscence of Russian ballet art - the sculpture of Chiarina, an exclusive hand-painted figure, a work of art by the artist Paul Scheurich from 1913. At that time, the guest performance "Le Carneval" based on Robert Schuhmann's piano cycle was extremely popular at the Berlin Theatre and demanded artistic immortalization in the spirit of cultural heritage. The hand-painted, decorated dress of the female sculpture glides elegantly over the detailed staffage of the base of the 29 centimeter high figure. This work of art is part of the "Russian Ballet" canon of figures. The five Russian dancers that Scheurich portrayed for this ensemble of artworks were his first and most successful works for the Meissen porcelain manufactory. This sculpture is therefore part of a limited edition and will be modeled, embossed and hand-painted exclusively for you if you are interested. A figure that represents an unsurpassed highlight of modern porcelain art in the footsteps of Romanticism.
