The "Monkey Musician French Horn Blower", a hand-painted figurine as the result of traditional MEISSEN craftsmanship, is part of a nine-piece monkey band, which is limited in number. The series of monkeys playing music was created by Otto Pilz in 1908. With his "Monkey Musicians", he created a remarkable and ironic interpretation of the "Monkey Chapel" by master craftsman Johann Joachim Kaendler from 1753. In contrast to Kaendler's animals, Pilz's monkeys have characteristic, individual features. This figure captivates with its humorous appearance in a white top with green applications and the golden French horn as an eye-catcher. New edition - design year 2014, limited to 25 pieces.
