The limited edition figure "Fisherman with net" shows the moment of return home of a young fisherman. This moment was captured by Dresden artist Hermann Hultzsch with a sculpture made of porcelain in 1885.
With moderate movement rather than vivid emotion, the artwork bears impressionistic traits. The body contours of the sculpture and the drapery in the figure's cloak are modeled almost painterly. The play of light and shadow is subtly underscored by the hand-painted, artistic color gradients of the glaze on the artwork. The net thrown over his shoulder, the young man looks at his successful catch. Which was hand-painted with great sensitivity. For a moment, the fisherman seems to pause on his way home.
