description
The figurine of the dancer "Fanni Elßler", an exquisite work of art, is a real gem for any porcelain collection. The design was created by the French painter and sculptor Jean Auguste Barré in 1836. Fanni Elßer, whose real name was Franziska Elßler, was a world-famous Austrian prima ballerina during the Romantic era. She celebrated triumphant successes in Berlin, Paris, Vienna and America. Her passionate and down-to-earth dancing style was particularly evident in her legendary "Cachucha" from the ballet "The Limping Devil", in which she is depicted in this sculpture. The beautiful, lovingly hand-painted figure is 34 cm high. It is part of the Exclusive Collection. A must-have for every dance lover!
