description
The opulent sculpture "Happiness and Time" by Johann Joachim Kaendler from 1766 testifies to exceptional craftsmanship. The figure depicts Chronos - the symbol of time. Opposite, lovely hand-painted goddess Fortuna balances on the blue planet. A putto holds green shoots aloft as symbols of the flourishing of science, painting and sculpture depicted beneath the Saxon coat of arms. Time bears a shield depicting Albrechtsburg Meissen, Germany's oldest castle and the manufactory's first production site. Accurately hand-painted, it shines and demonstrates masterful craftsmanship. Above the sculpture hovers Fama, the goddess of glory - to the honor of the state of Saxony. The impressive figurine is limited to 10 pieces. The masterful sculpture figure is hand-painted and grandiose craftsmanship.
