One of our colleagues is particularly enthusiastic: since he lives with his wife, who comes from the Ore Mountains, their favorite ritual is to arrange figurines and accessories made of porcelain together with the famous Ore Mountain folk art. They do it in a new way every year when the first symptoms of Christmas fever appear. A unique Christmas miracle, which combines not only two traditional crafts, but in this case, two people.
But for many, the greatest spectacle is decorating the Christmas tree. In anticipation of a living room filled with Christmas atmosphere, evoked by resinous fir scent and delicate light glow, as you remember from carefree childhood days, it is your greatest joy to make the Christmas tree as beautiful as possible. Our secret tip, so that the evergreen of the fir shines especially: Tree Decoration made of white gold!
Shortly before Christmas Eve, it is customary in the manufactory for the apprentices and a handful of colleagues to walk through the numerous corridors of the large manufactory with the Börner porcelain bells on the last working day before Christmas Eve. They loudly herald the good news of an early closing time for all employees. And then it can start, the highlight of Christmas: Christmas Eve - the time we spend together with our loved ones. During this time, the festively decorated table and the delicious gifts often become the focus of the get-together. In Meissen, as in many parts of Germany, potato salad and sausages or crispy Christmas duck are the classics when it comes to the holiday meal. Of course, the whole thing is served on the favorite service. Whether with the new "Lucky Dragon" decor on our popular "Vitruv" service or the dinner plates from our latest "NOVA" collection - everyone will find something here.
And like every year, we are looking forward to the coming weeks, until the big celebration. To the stories that we will experience, that will be told to us and that we can help to shape our white gold. For this we wish you a pleasant time before Christmas.
