Because when it comes to colors, we really burn. And not just because the multi-layered works of art painted in various processes have to find their way into the flames of the kiln up to five times. Since the beginnings of our porcelain manufactory over 310 years ago, our passion for color has now led us to produce over 10,000 different color formulations. And we especially love the radiantly luminous colors that reflect the light like our white gold itself.

Even the ancient Egyptians knew about the effect of colors on the mind. Pharaoh Nefertiti used to take a colorful bath regularly - with purple bath water to stimulate the mind or green to blue water to calm it down. In Europe, none other than the poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe is considered a pioneer of scientific color psychology. In his book "Zur Farbenlehre" (On the Theory of Colors), he associated the elements of the color wheel with certain effects on the mind: He sorted all colors from yellow to red to concepts such as light, warmth, excitement or liveliness, while he associated the colors up to blue with shadows, distance, restlessness and longing sensations. It is still considered and scientifically proven to be similar today. However, not only the color itself is decisive, but also its radiance brings its own effects. When colors are highly pigmented, are strong, "pop" or have a particularly strong glow, they have a very special positive influence on our emotions.
