The manufacture of porcelain jewelry can be traced back to the beginnings of the MEISSEN® manufactory in the 18th century. And pug figurines on chains or on their own were already very popular at that time. At the court of King August III, there was even a pug society for which master modeler Johann Joachim Kaendler sculpted a considerable number of pug figures in the 1740s. The hand-painted pendant "Sir Henry" is the image of Germany's cult pug of the same name "Sir Henry", which was owned by Uschi Ackermann from 2006 to 2018. Sir Henry gained nationwide fame when he took legal action against his breeder together with his mistress in 2007, appearing in the courtroom in a tuxedo for the occasion. With a limited series of the finest porcelain, MEISSEN®, together with Uschi Ackermann, has immortalized this epic scene in Sir Henry's life for collectors and pug lovers.
The hand-painted pendant "Sir Henry" is produced in a limited edition of 333 pieces.
