How do you care for Meissen porcelain soup plates?

Whether the deep plates made of high-quality Meissen porcelain are microwaveable and dishwasher-safe depends on the respective collection and decoration. In principle, all soup plates bearing the name “white ware” can be cleaned in the dishwasher and used in the microwave without any problems. It is advisable to wash hand-painted soup plates by hand, as well as dishes with a gold, platinum or silver-colored rim. Many dishwasher manufacturers offer so-called ECO wash cycles, which gently clean and rinse your Meissen tableware.
