Limited Edition 2019 Vase Heart-shaped Arabian Nights

In over 50 years at MEISSEN, the renowned porcelain painter Prof. Heinz Werner created more than 100 decors and pictorial motifs with which he decisively shaped the style of the manufactory in the 20th century. In honor of his 90th birthday, one of his best-known decors, "1001 Nights," shines in new splendor on Ludwig Zepner's heart-shaped vase from 1996: a scenic depiction full of fantasy inspired by the oriental world of fairy tales, bridging the gap between suggestively modern ductus and traditional miniature painting. The limited edition artwork features Asem with his beloved, the daughter of the Ghost King, whose palace adorns the back of the hand-painted vase. Real gold borders along the base and vase opening frame the scene in opulent splendor.
